Camp Construction
Camp construction in the Catskills and upstate
Bunkhouses, dining halls, gyms, pools, gazebos and camp shuls in the Catskills and upstate.
A camp has one deadline that does not move: the day the buses arrive. Every new bunkhouse, dining hall or gym has to be finished, inspected and ready before the summer.
ELC Construction builds and renovates camp buildings in the Catskills and upstate, in Sullivan County, Ulster County, Orange County and the Poconos. From gazebos to bunkhouses to gyms, one contact manages the whole job.
Bunks, bunkhouses, cabins, staff housing, dining rooms, shuls, pavilions and more, for boys’ camps, girls’ camps and bungalow colonies.
What we do
Bunkhouses and cabins
New bunks, staff housing and cabins, and renovations of existing ones, built to stand up to summer after summer of campers.
Dining halls and kosher kitchens
Dining rooms that seat the whole camp, and commercial kitchens laid out for meat, dairy and Pesach needs as your mashgiach requires.
Gyms, courts and pool houses
Gyms, sports courts, pool houses and changing rooms for a busy summer program.
Gazebos, pavilions and camp shuls
Gazebos, covered pavilions, stages and the camp shul or beis medrash, built for the outdoors.
Built in the off-season, ready for the summer
We plan camp work for the off-season, between the end of one summer and the start of the next, and build the schedule backwards from opening day.
Upstate weather is part of the plan: snow loads, freeze-thaw winters and wet springs. We choose materials and details that hold up when the camp sits empty all winter.
